May 09, 2005 - Left Bangalore in our usual Jet Airways to Mumbai.... as the flight took off, it was a beautiful sun set view from my flight window...and when the pilot took the first turn I remembered my childhood days.. running with both the arms in air like the eagle in sky... I had never dreamt of me, KD and Vishnu will get together in a place like US.. and to add to this there was chai slated to join us in a week's time... these were my thoughts in plane with KD sitting next to me..... in no time we landed in Mumbai.....
We stood in airport thinking what to do for next 5 hrs? KD wanted to call his Sis and me wanted to call a friend. As usual I was not prepared enough! so I did not have her number. KD called is sis and we waited for more than an hour before she arrived with her lovely Kid.. Next hour I spent time with the Kid.. she was so happy riding my carry-on luggage bag! it was a trolley for here! It was getting late for them to leave.. and we got our boarding passes and headed to Gate 1 or was that Gate 2.. don't remember.
It was time for "Veg or Non-Veg Sir!" as soon as we got into BA295....Time for trying some vine..KD too wanted to taste vine!! We thought that we'll change in London and KD was sleeping next minute! and me after an hour watching some bad movie..
It was a chilling morning in London .. I have never seen winter in west ! thus temp of 10C was a chilling ! We changed in London Heath Row. The best thing about this airport is Smoking Lounge! We then boarded BA 135. There was a little anxiety before immigration check at Chicago.. but when it got over it was like same thing that I had seen earlier.. wait for 3 hrs before we boarded AA to Cincinnati. Vishnu and Manohar were there waiting or us! It was like back home!!
Took a cab to Forum Apartments 707 Martin Luther King Dr. I am so familiar with the address!!
As soon we stepped into the apartment the first idea was Swimming!! This is the reason why I am so comfortable with these guys! They are as crazy as I am !! After travelling for 30 long hrs we wanted that we'll go and jump into the water!! Bigining of a wounderful era!
